The immobilisation of such catalytic biomass leads to a production of robust biocatalysts, characterised by a high reaction activity, mechanical stability and easy separability from the reaction media. Industrial encapsulation is derived from the versatile character of Lentikats Biotechnology and its potential to immobilise any enzyme or a cell, in the form of whole or disintegrated cells, free and pre-immobilised enzymes. LentiKat`s a.s. addresses its potential customers with the offer to encapsulate a biomaterial of their choice, commercially available industrial preparations as well as their own modified microorganisms and recombinant proteins. High quality of services, speed of processing and discretion are integral parts of every offer.

Research & Development

In cooperation with leading research centers and companies LentiKat`s a.s. is constantly developing new products and applications of Lentikats Biotechnology. The company is currently involved in the following projects:

  • Bionexgen Project – a multi-field interconnection between academic research and industrial practice, aimed to develop several new bio-transformation processes for production of specialty chemicals,
  • development of multienzymatic biocatalysts for their application in elimination of persistant pollutants from the environment,
  • encapsulation of stem cells,
  • enhancement of enzyme characteristics by their modification and encapsulation into magnetic nanoparticles prior to their encapsulation into a PVA carrier,
  • elimination of microbial contamination during biotechnological processes using silver nanoparticles.
