Property Development Services
The Group has capitalized on its rich experience in building construction and property management to develop a property development business. It has already completed many projects, including Private Sector Participation Scheme (“PSPS”), residential buildings, villas, commercial and industrial buildings. Chevalier was the largest independent developer of PSPS for the Hong Kong Housing Authority. PSPS is a public housing scheme aims to provide housing for eligible persons to purchase. Chevalier has developed 11 PSPS projects, providing about 31,400 residential flats with a total gross floor area of 1.8 million square meters in Hong Kong. These projects provide ancillary facilities, such as shops, carparks, kindergarten and social centre for the elderly.
“City Hub”, an Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) redevelopment project granted to a joint venture of Chevalier Group completed in 2018. City Hub is situated in the heart of Kowloon near the Kai Tai development area and the new CBD in East Kowloon, and is adjacent to the soon-to-be-completed To Kwa Wan Station of the MTR’s Shatin to Central Link.
The Group’s wholly owned subsidiary won another URA redevelopment project at Fuk Chak Street and Li Tak Street, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon in 2017. This first wholly developed project with URA is scheduled for completion by 2020/2021.
In addition, there are 3 other sites in the Group’s redevelopment portfolio including:
4 Tai Yip Street, Kowloon – to be redeveloped into a high-end multi-storey retail/ office building in Kowloon East. Upon completion by 2021, a total of approximately 72,000 square feet of commercial area will be built;
Nos. 292A-D Prince Edward Road West, Homantin, Kowloon – to be redeveloped into a luxury residential block with a total gross floor area of about 39,000 square feet. Development of the project is expected to be completed in the year of 2021/2022; and
No. 5 Hang Lok Lane, Shatin – planned to be redeveloped into low-medium density luxury houses or apartments.
In China, Chevalier has been involved in developing prestigious commercial centres and deluxe residential buildings in the heart of major cities. Chevalier Place, a luxury residential property in Shanghai, provides large scale flats and maintains a remarkable occupancy rate since its launch. Another property project, Chevalier Tower, is situated in the downtown area of Jinjiang District in Chengdu. It is a comprehensive residential and commercial complex that consists of a luxury hotel and incorporates sophisticated amenities. Apart from Shanghai and Chengdu, Chevalier has also participated in property development projects in other emerging cities in China such as Beijing and Changchun. These projects include low-density villas and apartments with green environments, and superior commercial and residential buildings.
