IBioGuide takes the Advaita Bioinformatics knowledge base and puts it at your fingertips in an easy-to-use, understandable, dedicated life-science-focused search engine and browser. With over 100 million relationships between genes, pathways, GO terms, and more, never before has there been a more comprehensive search engine for life science. Best of all, iBioGuide is completely free to use.

Simply go to iBioGuide.com … and type in your search term. The Advaita Bioinformatics search engine will immediately return the most relevant results to you.

Let's say you are trying to find out which pathways the insulin receptor is involved in. Simply type insulin receptor and as you type the predictive text will help you narrow your search term. Within seconds, you have a list of results from which to choose.

Selecting the gene you are interested in will then provide you with more information about that gene, but then will provide a comprehensive list of all GO Terms annotated with this gene, micrRNAs that target it, a list of pathways containing this genes, approved drugs that target this receptor, and finally a list of diseases with this gene annotated to it. Each list can be further filtered based on additional criteria.

For example, if we want to only look at signaling pathways we can simply use the term signaling and get a refined list of pathways. From here, we can then select the pathway that is of most interest to us.

From the pathway image view, you can choose to highlight specific genes on the pathway, microRNA targets, or drug targets.

At the top, you will always see a cookie crumb list of how you got to the current results. You can easily navigate back to a previous result from here.

If you wish to search for a new term, simply type that in and start a new search.

If you have differential expression data, please be sure to try iPathwayGuide for next-generation pathway analyses.
