What is an Enzyme?

An Enzyme is a natural protein and they are found in ALL living things.

There are many types of enzymes in nature and each serves a unique and vital purpose. Without enzymes there would be no life. For people, our pancreas produces many enzymes and without them we could not digest food. An Enzyme is the reason why fruits and veggies ripen, and why yeast can form alcohol from sugars.

Picture an enzyme like a fork and knife. Enzymes latch onto large molecules and break them into smaller molecules. For example, an enzyme can latch onto an Ammonia Molecule (NH4), which is harmful to human and animal health, and break it into the smaller molecules of Nitrogen (N) and water (H2O).

Nature uses enzymes to keep environments balanced. Why use a harmful chemical cleaner when you could use a natural solution that is safe and works just as well? Nature has been perfecting enzymes for millions of years and chemicals are made to mimic these enzymes.
