Superabsorbents solutions for medical industry - Health Care

Medical superabsorbent dressings are designed to present correct moisture conditions around wounds, without resulting in actual wetting.

Using a SAF™ superabsorbent fabric as a layer in such dressings, allows for the rapid uptake and retention of exudates from an infected area. This can aid recovery by promoting an optimum healing environment and limiting further bacterial growth, especially when used in the treatment of wounds with high exudates.

SAF™ has been extensively developed for use in such applications and we are already actively working with customers creating bespoke superabsorbent fabrics and spun yarn solutions for the effective management of chronic wounds and burns.
