An Opinion
First, I hope your family, neighbors, and friends are all healthy and safe. The purpose of this article is not to sell you anything. It is to allow you to understand the importance of disinfection before and after the vaccines are incomplete implementation.
Let’s start with why we believe that everyone needs to be diligent, even though there is a vaccine. Remember the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) was first discovered in Asia in February 2003. The outbreak lasted approximately six months as the disease spread to more than two dozen countries in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia before it was stopped in July 2003. Globally, WHO received reports of SARS from 29 countries and regions; 8,096 persons with probable SARS resulting in 774 deaths. In the United States, eight SARS infections were documented by laboratory testing and an additional 19 probable SARS infections were reported. Then again in April 2009 when the H1N1 influenza A was around. There were vaccines invented in October of 2009 to protect both humans and animals. Go to this link to read about what the vaccines do speed up to 2020; we had a vaccine in 2009 and 11 years later we now have another issue –with COVID arriving in North America, apparently in January of 2020. In my opinion, if we had a proper disinfection process in place, regardless of what pandemic was arriving, we would have been better equipped and protected. Had people washed their hands, disinfected everywhere, and made sure they were protected, we would have been safer today. If we had a program of prevention, rather than reaction, we would have been in a much better position.
