Patient History
Patient is a 35-year-old with obesity and venous insufficiency, status post-surgery for the repair of an ankle fracture. Surgical site dehisced and the patient was treated with Profore wraps, Unna boots, and standard wound care for two months.
Primary Diagnosis
Surgical dehiscence
Treatment & Outcome
Restrata was added to the treatment regimen and applied after wound debridement at week one and again at week three. Restrata was fenestrated and hydrated with saline, then affixed and covered with a primary dressing of Adaptic and Profore. Patient healed in seven weeks with two applications of Restrata.
