Aalto - Homocysteine Control
Homocysteine Control is a stable liquid product intended to simulate human patient samples for the purpose of monitoring the precision of laboratory testing procedures for homocysteine.
Diabetes Monitoring
Aalto - Model A1c (HbA1c) - Glycated Hemoglobin
Aalto is one of the world’s largest suppliers of controls and calibrators for glycated hemoglobin. By working closely with physicians, scientists, proficiency organizations and reagent manufacturers, Aalto’s HbA1c products are compatible with all types of assays, regardless of how demanding. From automated HPLC systems to easy to use point-of-care devices, you can be certain that Aalto’s HbA1c controls will perform without the “matrix effects” that can frequently be seen in other commercially available controls.
General Chemistry Controls/Calibrators
Human General Chemistry (Human Serum-Human Enzymes)
Aalto’s General Chemistry controls are lyophilized, serum based products, with your choice of low cost bovine serum or near patient like human serum matrix. Enzyme analytes can be a combination of endogenous human enzymes, augmented with various human, animal or microbial source enzymes. Inquire about Aalto’s ALL HUMAN ENZYME control, a unique product which nearly duplicates the characteristics of human patient samples. Contains no animal or other source enzymes or serum.
Immunology Controls/Calibrators
Aalto - Model Anti-CCP - Anti-Cyclic Citrullinated Peptide
The Anti-CCP test may be ordered along with or following a rheumatoid factor (RF) test to help diagnose rheumatoid arthritis (RA). CCP may also be ordered to help evaluate the likely development of RA in patients with undifferentiated arthritis those whose symptoms suggest but do not yet meet the American College of Rheumatology criteria for RA. According to American College of Rheumatology, approximately 95% of patients with a positive CCP test will develop RA in the future.
Aalto - Model RF/CRP - (Rheumatoid Factor/C-Reactive Protein
Our RF/CRP (Rheumatoid Factor/C-Reactive Protein) multi-analyte controls are available as human serum based solutions. As liquids, they can be supplied fully packaged in vials, or supplied as a bulk liquid for filling by your manufacturing group. They are intended to simulate human patient serum samples for the purpose of daily quality control of methods for assaying RF and CRP in the clinical laboratory.
Specialty Controls/Calibrators
Aalto - Alternate Body Fluid Controls
In addition to our human blood, serum, and plasma products, Aalto can produce control materials that mimic a wide variety of alternate human body fluids.
Aalto - Amniotic Fluid Control
Aalto’s Amniotic Fluid Control is a liquid product formulated to mimic human amniotic fluid for the purposes of monitoring the quality of amniocentesis analysis. Factors which can be measured include fetal lung maturity, lecithin to sphingomyelin ratio (L:S) and phosphotidylglycerol concentration. This product comes in a convenient and easy to use liquid formulation.
Aalto - Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Analysis System
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis is a set of laboratory tests that examine a sample of the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. This fluid is a clear and colorless ultrafiltrate of plasma. It contains glucose, electrolytes, amino acids, and other small molecules found in plasma. Under normal circumstances, CSF has very little protein and few cells. CSF protects the central nervous system from injury, cushions it from the surrounding bone structure, provides it with nutrients, and removes waste products by returning them to the blood. CSF is withdrawn from the subarachnoid space through a needle by a procedure called a lumbar puncture or spinal tap. CSF analysis includes tests in clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
