The five-layer foam dressing is an absorbent, self-adherent, soft silicone wound dressing available in a border and non-border version. It comprises of a breathable silicone wound contact layer designed for atraumatic removal, a polyurethane foam and superabsorbent fiber composite pad with high absorption capacity and a vapor-permeable, water- and bacteria-resistant polyurethane film outer layer. The silicone wound contact layer is perforated and is protected by a folded, transparent, embossed LDPE liner. On the bordered dressing, the silicone adhesive and polyurethane film extend beyond the perimeter of the composite pad to form an adhesive border.

The Absorbent Wound Dressing portfolio is indicated for the management of lightly to moderately exuding chronic and acute wounds. The range is designed to promote a moist wound environment, which can support healing. The portfolio includes products designed for partial and full thickness pressure sores and leg ulcers as well as superficial wounds, skin tears and postoperative wounds.

These dressings use our patented hydrocolloid technology and are uniquely formulated with the core materials being chemically identical and hence compatible. This means there is no migration of these materials into the wound and the dressings remain integrated and do not break down after absorption of wound fluid.

Not only do the dressings meet ISO 10993 biocompatibility requirements for use as a medical device, they are formulated to be gentle to periwound skin. The Bordered Hydrocolloid Dressing range combines two unique formulations: cyclodextrin and hydrocolloid, which function together to deliver enhanced odor control performance.

The silicone and polyurethane film extends beyond the perimeter of the composite pad to form an adhesive border. The silicone wound contact layer is perforated, and is protected by a folded, transparent, embossed LDPE liner. The dressing is presented in a paper/poly pouch for single use and is supplied EtO sterile.

Superabsorbent dressing is a sterile, superabsorbent wound dressing for use on wounds with high to excessive amounts of exudate. The dressing consists of a white, superabsorbent core, a clear, perforated, polyethylene film wound contact layer and a white, hydrophobic nonwoven backing, which together help minimize moisture leakage. The dressing absorbs exudate while helping maintain a moist wound environment and is also effective under pressure. Fluids are absorbed and retained within the dressing. In addition, the high absorbency of the product helps increase dressing change intervals.

Cavity wound dressings without polyurethane (PU) film layer are hydrophilic medical grade PU foams made of a soft textured material, designed to handle high volumes of wound exudate and provide a comfortable wear for the patient. The product has a high moisture vapor permeability.
