Anatomically unfavorable conditions and special issues in the larynx as well as in open tracheal resections, carinal resections or lobectomies, require the use of original TwinStream jet catheters. In order to respond adequately to these special requirements, different jet catheters are available for corresponding indications and associated procedures. Depending on the anatomical specifications and the use of the necessary augmentation (e.g. laser), different jet catheters are used in terms of material, dimension and length. The ventilation mode is adapted to the selected jet catheter by means of a suitable ventilation mode. Thus, different monitoring and, for the first time, superposed high-frequency jet ventilation are available. To facilitate intubation, jet catheters are supplied with guide wires.
