Autotaxin (ATX) Inhibitor Screening Services
The Autotaxin (ATX) Inhibitor Screening Service utilizes the ATX Inhibitor Screening kits (cat #’s K-4200 or K-4200HTS) to determine if your compound inhibits ATX. ATX is an extracellular enzyme that cleaves lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) to generate the phospholipid growth factor lysophophatidic acid (LPA). LPA is involved in a variety of biological functions, such as angiogenesis, wound healing, vascular and nervous system development, reproduction, pain transmission, immunological competence and the regulation of blood pressure. Altered LPA biology is associated with a number of diseases. Likewise, autotaxin has been implicated in a number of disorders, including a variety of cancers, obesity, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease and neuropathic pain.
Autotaxin (ATX) Screening Services
The Autotaxin (ATX) Screening Service uses the ATX Sandwich ELISA (cat # K-5600) to quantify ATX in biological samples. ATX is a widely expressed, secreted glycoprotein that is found in high levels in serum. The enzyme has been implicated in a number of diseases including cancer, obesity, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease and neuropathic pain.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Screening Services
The Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Screening Service uses the HA-ELISA kit (K-1200) to quantify HA in biological samples. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a high molecular weight anionic polysaccharide (1,000-10,000 kD) composed of repeating disaccharides. Many chronic liver diseases, including infection, toxicity, genetic, autoimmunity, and malignancy result in liver inflammation and an increase in circulating HA levels. HA levels correspond with severity of disease.

Nanobody Production Services
Nanobodies are single domain antibodies produced from camelids by immunization with a target antigen, similar to the process used in mice and rabbits for traditional antibody generation. However, because of the single heavy chain found in camelid antibodies, cDNAs can be generated from this single domain which can then be expressed recombinantly. This opens up a wide variety of applications that are not tenable with traditional IgG, IgM, or Fab antibodies.
