During more than 20 years of development and production of pneumatically driven anaesthesia ventilators various models such as MAV3 and MAV4 achieved worldwide popularity for ventilation in anaesthesia.

In June 2010 EKU Elektronik received the outpout orientated innovation award "Success" by the Investitions- und Strukturbank Rheinland-Pfalz (ISB) GmbH for the successful development of the NO-application device NO-A. EKU Elektronik received the award for the NO-A, a therapy device for the application of nitric oxide (NO) therapy gas in the ventilation flow of an intensive care patient in connection with different ventilators. The inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy shall reduce the clinical necessity of a left-to-right shunt and contribute to cardiac relief. In order to improve the oxygenation of ventilated patients nitric oxide (NO) is added to the respiratory gas.

The maniNO blender for patient supply with a gas blend of oxygen (O2) and nitric oxide (NO) stands out due to easy usability and high NO-precision. It is suited for application in the manual ventilation and can thereby be used in transport as well as in MRI environment. The dosing range of maniNO can be adjusted from 0-40 ppm with an also steplessly adjustable total flow of 0-15 l/min. With a special transport bracket the maniNO meets the requirements for DIN EN 1789 concerning the transport in road ambulances.

With its BiFlow-Sensors the CALIBSO ViPlus Ventilatortester offers even more prospects than its successful predecessor model. EKU herewith has realised the requests and suggestions by biomedical engineers who have satisfactorily been working with the ViP Ventilatortester for more than one decade and has made adjustments to their job requirements. In combination with the touchpad the handling becomes easier and more intuitive.

The ViP Ventilatortester is a mobile microprocessor controlled measurement meter for flow, volume, pressure and oxygen. Developed for medical and laboratory applications and especially used to test ventilators its main advantages are its high measuring precision and simplicity of use. Its wide spectrum of use lets this meter stand as an ideal unit for surveying and testing tasks.

In 2019 the CALIBSO Family will be complemented by the additional modules LeakHunter O2/AIR and LeakHunter N2O. Thus the CALIBSO now also is a universal testing device for leakage tests of medical gas extraction points for AIR (medical compressed air), O2 (oxygen) and N2O (laughing gas) in hospital technology and in rescue and ambulance vehicles.
