REMOWELL2 is designed to reduce neurological injury and inflammatory response in Patients undergoing cardiac surgery, thanks to its unique and patented cardiotomy features capable to reduce lipids and leukocytes cells coming from pericardial suction blood. Literature evidenced the efficacious filtration by REMOWELL technology of LME (Lipid Micro Emboli) in the clinical setting and the subsequent attenuation of NSE release, a known marker of neurologic injury. In addition, significantly lower concentration of cystatin C, a known biomarker of kidney function, was found in the postoperative period, suggesting a renoprotective role for LME filtration9. EPOP2 is a monitoring system for non-critical patients in the post-operative phase that allows to evaluate, remotely and efficiently, the health status of one or more patients at the same time. Through the automatic and periodic monitoring of the physiological parameters of the patient (blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, saturation and body temperature), the system automatically generates the NEWS score, which provides a universal reference standard for the evaluation of the clinical course of the patient. These data can be consulted on a dedicated platform, from a computer or other devices. EPOP2 is a complete and easy-to-use system, which offers the possibility of optimizing patient monitoring processes, contributing to the implementation of the Fast-Track process and optimizing the working time of medical staff.
