Bioassays & Potency Testing Service

iFyber specializes in evaluating the effects of new biomaterials, medical devices, and investigational compounds on mammalian biological systems. We are focused on implementing high throughput, repeatable, relevant, and quantitative in vitro assays that provide clients with robust data from which to plan future product development and verification efforts.

Materials Testing Service

Our multidisciplinary materials testing team consists of chemists, engineers, and biologists who, through the use of advanced analytical techniques, can evaluate a range of materials, including novel nanomaterials, specialized coatings, and polymers. We provide broad expertise and a diverse offering of materials testing methods that can be tailored to each intended application based on our clients` specific needs.

Biofilm Testing and Antimicrobial Efficacy Service

iFyber provides a suite of biofilm tests to verify the efficacy of antimicrobial medical devices and drugs. Biofilms are complex communities of microbes protected within a matrix of sugars, proteins, and extracellular DNA. These characteristics, in addition to their tolerance to antibiotics, make biofilms significantly more difficult to prevent and remove. Research has shown that between 60 to 90% of chronic wounds are associated with biofilms. The development of technologies to combat resistant biofilm infections often requires custom biofilm test models. Biofilm tests at iFyber can be tailored to evaluate technologies in a way that meets the client’s objective.

Histology & Imaging Service

At iFyber, we have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities that allow our highly trained staff to process and stain a variety of tissue types for research and development purposes. We specialize in working with clients across the medical device, wound care, and regenerative medicine fields to customize histological techniques for signal quantification or morphological measurements in a way that best fits their testing and data needs.
