Hips - Tissue Sparing Surgical Approaches
Anterior Path - Tissue Sparing Surgical Hip Approaches
The use of the cannula allows for a transverse incision to be made more superior and lateral, minimizing many challenges related to the femur and wound healing. The placement and orientation of the incision create excellent femoral exposure, alleviate challenges related to femoral preparation, and allow the use of any stem philosophy. The use of a portal to prepare the acetabulum allows direct visualization and in-line reaming and cup impaction.
SuperPath - Portal Assisted THA Approach
When compared to national averages, patients treated with the SuperPath® hip technique have stayed in the hospital for a shorter amount of time, been discharged to their home more often, and are less likely to return within 30 days for any reason. SuperPath® is a portal assisted THA approach that accesses the capsule superiorly through the interval between the gluteus medius and piriformis without requiring the cutting of any muscles or tendons. The femur is prepared with the head and neck intact reducing the chance of fracture. The acetabulum is prepared under direct visualization and a cannula facilitates the use of inline instrumentation. If necessary, there is an extensile option allowing surgeons to continue the technique from a familiar view without repositioning the patient.
Hips - Primary Acetabular Hip System
Microport - Model Prime - Orthopedics Acetabular Cup Systems
The Prime acetabular cup system is the next step in the evolution of the successful Dynasty® acetabular cup system. The system is optimized for a highly cross-linked ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene bearing surface, eliminating the compromises associated with modularity to accommodate alternative bearing surfaces. By focusing on a singular bearing surface, the shell has also been optimized for modern fixation surfaces. Designed with simple, versatile instrumentation, the system can be used with a variety of surgical approaches.
MicroPort Lineage - Orthopedics Acetabular Cup Hip System
MicroPort Orthopedics acetabular cup systems have established clinical heritage built on over 25 years of clinical presence. Manufactured from titanium for biocompatibility and optimized stiffness, the market introduction of the Lineage® acetabular system delivered unsurpassed surgical flexibility for shell fixation and bearing material choice. The innovative internal shape is designed to allow for use of ceramic and A-Class® highly cross-linked liners. This gives the surgeon the option of choosing the bearing material most appropriate for the patient’s demands.
Hips - Femoral Hip Stems
Profemur Gladiator - Primary Hip Stems
The Profemur® line of primary hip stems has an established clinical history. Each Profemur® hip stem offers its own philosophy to provide fixation and replace bone anatomy. Triple taper stem philosophy" Designed for primary hip replacement surgery, the Profemur® Gladiator® hip stem is a triple tapered wedge stem with a distinct geometry. The hip stem is designed with a reduced lateral shoulder convenient for tissue sparing techniques. In addition to three point fixation, the stem’s shape also allows for medial and lateral contact with cortical bone. Plasma spray or HA coatings and an anteroposterior taper allow for contact in the frontal plane. Horizontal grooves are designed to more evenly distribute load forces, while vertical grooves assist with rotational stability.

Conserve - Plus Total Resurfacing Hip System
The Conserve® Plus total resurfacing hip system has been designed to be a conservative prosthetic solution for hip arthritis.
Knees - Primary Medial-pivot Knee System
Evolution BioFoam - Medial-Pivot Knee Systems
The Evolution® medial-pivot knee system is designed to answer the limitations of traditional implants by delivering superior flexion stability, anatomic motion, and wear–limiting design characteristics. The Evolution® medial-pivot knee system with BioFoam® cancellous titanium on the tibial implant is the next generation in cementless fixation. Alongside the medial-pivot knee system’s clinically demonstrated design, built on the latest kinematic evidence of the natural stability and motion of the knee, BioFoam® cancellous titanium is uniquely suited to meet the challenges of today’s patient population.1 By offering surgeons unparalleled biologic fixation and fixation, this novel material provides a true trabecular structure with enhanced rigid fixation to allow immediate fixation through an osteoconductive matrix.
Knees - Revision Medial-Pivot Knee System
Evolution - Model Stemmed CS - Revision Total Knee Systems
The Evolution® revision knee system is only revision system that maintains the benefits of a medial-pivot design. Built on a 20 year, clinically-established heritage of patient satisfaction and survivorship. It is the only revision knee system that eliminates box resection while maintaining the proven kinematic benefits of a medial-pivot design and offering surgeons intraoperative flexibility to meet all patient needs.

Microport - Kinematic Alignment (KA) Technique
MicroPort’s Kinematic Alignment (KA) technique, when combined with the Evolution® Medial-Pivot Knee System’s implant design, offers surgeons an innovative solution to problems such as instability, anterior knee pain, and functional limitations. By utilizing traditional mechanical instruments and the “Measure Twice, Cut Once” methodology, surgeons can personalize each total knee replacement case to the individual patient’s joint line and restore their native knee anatomy based on the pre-diseased state.
Prophecy - Personalized Knee Solutions
Prophecy® guides are specifically designed to provide for accurate alignment, sizing, and implant placement for MicroPort Orthopedics knee implants.
