Plating Systems
Gorilla - Calc Fracture Plating System
The Gorilla® Calc Fracture Plating System offers surgeons 20 total plates in three families to address fractures of the calcaneus. The system is made up of low profile lateral extensile approach plates as well as low profile sinus tarsi approach plates which may be contoured intraoperatively to the surgeon’s preference. All of the plates accept 2.7 mm, 3.5 mm, and 4.2 mm locking and non-locking polyaxial screws allowing the surgeon to target the highest quality bone around the fracture site. Additionally, all holes have a built-in recess to reduce screw head prominence.
Gorilla - Central Column Fusion Plating System
The Gorilla® Central Column Plating System is designed to address complex midfoot arthritic and trauma patterns involving the TN and/or NC joint. The system provides 1.5- and 2.0 mm thick (Charcot) plates in talus to metatarsal and navicular to metatarsal spanning options. All plates include a slotted hole allowing for compression with the Caspar. Also included in the system is a rasp designed specifically to be used in preparation of the joint surfaces. The plates may be used in isolation for acute or chronic midfoot applications or in Charcot applications can be used in combination with the Joust™ Beaming Screw System and Gorilla Medial .Column Plating System.
Nails
Phantom - Intramedullary Nail
The Phantom® Intramedullary Nail is the first Paragon 28® intramedullary nail and offers a unique option for correcting hallux valgus at the first TMT joint. The nail and threaded peg construct is zero profile and minimizes the soft tissue disruption of the first metatarsal and medial cuneiform during a Lapidus procedure. The Phantom® Intramedullary Nail instrumentation system provides unique targeting guides for precise placement and position of the nail and pegs. The polyaxial “claw shaped” guide facilitates the proper entry and angulation for drilling through the first metatarsal, TMT joint and into the medial cuneiform for proper nail placement and length. The outrigger and the outrigger slide allow targeting, drilling and entry of the pegs through the nail.
Screw Systems
Mini-Monster - Cannulated Screw System
The Mini-Monster® Screw System is a cannulated screw system containing headed and headless 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm screws. Every detail was scrutinized that went into the design of these screws–emerging with a screw that comes with a “Monster” bite and a noteworthy amount of options. We set the goal of being inclusive and respectful of individual surgeon’s preferences knowing that there is more than one way to a successful outcome. The Mini-Monster® Screw System gives the surgeon the flexibility to change the type of screw used intraoperatively between headless and headed, as well as partially threaded and fully threaded and in select sizes, long threads are available.
Hammertoe Implants
TenoTac - Model 2.0 - Soft Tissue Fixation System
TenoTac® is a patent-pending procedure and soft tissue fixation system designed to permanently address the source of the toe contracture. Cannulated instrumentation allows for accurate and reproducible placement of the implant. A threaded titanium implant with a spiked base is used to achieve and hold soft tissue fixation. The procedure requires minimal steps to correct flexible and semi-rigid hammertoe, plantar plate insufficiency, MPJ instability, as well as other applications in the forefoot. Instrumentation facilitates a two-handed technique to achieve correction, temporary fixation, and final implant placement. The implant features a low-profile dorsal component to reduce soft tissue irritation which threads into a plantar tack with a single row of spikes intended to grip and hold tension on the flexor tendon. The system is available in sterile kit offers two dorsal lengths to accommodate varying patient anatomies.
Charcot Systems
Gorilla - Medial Column Straddle Plates
The Medial Column Straddle Plates are offered in the Gorilla Medial Column Plating System which is comprised of 46 total plates. The Medial Column Straddle Plates include 10 different plates, sized for different applications and pathologies. The Straddle plates span from the talus to the 1st metatarsal and is offered in a 2.0 mm thickness. All plate are sized as Small, Medium, or Large and are offered in right or left orientations.
Staple System
JAWS - Nitinol Staple System
Paragon 28® designed the JAWS™ Nitinol Staple System for use in an osteotomy, arthrodesis and fragment fixation of bones and joints of the foot including fixation of small bone fragments. The JAWS™ Nitinol Staple System uses superelastic nitinol and a simple insertion method to gain rigid compression across an osteotomy site. Unlike many competitive implants, the JAWS™ Nitinol Staple System has a lightweight titanium inserter that allows the surgeon to fully seat the staple before it is released from the inserter. This allows for final placement of the staple before the staple compresses the osteotomy site. Compression is achieved upon insertion; no heating or electrical activation is required.
TITAN 3-D
TITAN 3-D - Evans Lateral Column Lengthening Wedge
The TITAN 3-D™ Wedge System offers a porous titanium wedge that provides an alternative to allograft/autograft bone for an Evans Calcaneal Osteotomy for lateral column lengthening. The TITAN 3-D™ Wedge System builds on Paragon 28®’s portfolio of osteotomy wedges and uses the same patented shapes as the PRESERVE™ Evans Wedges.
Syndesmosis / Soft Tissue Systems
Grappler - Titanium Grappler Suture Anchor
The Paragon 28 Titanium Grappler Suture Anchor was designed for streamlined delivery with sizing and instrumentation tailored for the Foot and Ankle surgeon. The anchor features a dual lead thread pitch which allows for quick and reproducible insertion, while ensuring maximum cortical purchase is achieved. The anchor is inserted using a hexalobe driver that was designed to provide superior insertional strength and simple removal when necessary. Both size options are doubled loaded with four needles attached to provide surgeons multiple options depending on the needs and location of the repair.
Total Ankle Replacement
APEX 3D - Total Ankle Replacement System
The Paragon 28 APEX 3D Total Ankle Replacement System was designed to address end-stage ankle arthritis and current challenges within the total ankle market including: implant loosening, pathological wear, instability and persistent pain. The APEX 3D System has been efficiently streamlined to accommodate surgeon preference and is equipped to address a wide range of arthritic ankle conditions. The APEX 3D System is based on over a century of combined clinical experience, cutting-edge biomechanical research, and designed to address inherent challenges associated with total ankle joint replacement clinical outcomes including: Implant loosening, Pathological wear, Instability, Persistent pain.
