Pixee Medical is proud to announce that its Knee+ AR Computer Assisted Orthopedic solution received 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration.

Following a CE mark and first worldwide augmented Total Knee Arthroplasty surgery last year, the approval is opening the US market and will accelerate the excellent sales momentum observed in Europe and Australia since January.

Only one year after performing a first surgery with Pr Rémy Nizard at Lariboisière Hospital in Paris and six months after our commercial launch, we are proud to share our first milestones.

Congratulations to Andy Turner our distributor from MatOrtho Ltd who trained on our easy-to-use solution only through virtual online training due to the health crisis.

We are now ready to perform the first surgeries soon in the Great Britain and Ireland with our distributors.

An opportunity to highlight two people involved in this project with Lucie Pécheur, in charge of the regulatory aspects and Cécile IMBERT our Operations Director to manage the commercial launch.

Both are graduates of ISIFC, our Biomedical Engineering School in Besançon!

Pixee Medical and Mathys have signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement that will be quickly followed by a first order of Knee+ AR navigation systems. Mathys will promote the solution in Europe but also in selected countries around the world.

We are very pleased with this partnership signed with a renowned Swiss company. We would like to thank the clinical centers and Mathys teams who participated in the pilot phase.

Thanks to Pr Christophe Hulet from the CHU de Caen Normandie for sharing his experience: “Augmented Reality for Total Knee surgery using the Pixee Medical innovation is a great step forward for patient specific surgeries. I also see a real potential for Artificial Intelligence applications.”

Pr Hulet wants to use Knee+ regularly in order to train his residents on this technology.

The Pixee Medical team would like to thank Dr PREVOT and the Clinique du Sport Bordeaux Mérignac team and the Adler Ortho France laboratory with whom we inaugurated our new generation of reusable ceramic markers. The surgeon was able to share his augmented reality experience on a screen with a simple wireless connection.
