TRO-VENOCATH is sterile, non-pyrogenic and atoxic. It shows the following characteristics: - special 3 facet back point bevel of the needle for easy and atraumatic insertion - two movable wings for safe fixation to the skin - Luer Lock cone for immediate sealing of the catheter - FEP or PUR catheter with completely embedded radiopaque stripes - colour coded wings and hub - with injection port for application of additional medication.

Supporting fabric for this fast setting plaster of paris bandage is a gauze bandage BP type 17, which is evenly impregnated with a composition of pure, microcrystalline Calcium sulphate α- and β-Hemihydrate. This unique composition enables excellent modelling and ensures uniform and quick setting. The outstanding feature of the plaster of paris bandage lies within its shortened drying and hardening time with concomitantly increased stability, extraordinary durability and consistency.

The supporting fabrics for this fast setting synthetic casting bandage are knitted glass fibres which are evenly impregnated with polyurethane. Compared to usual plaster of paris bandages it shows severaladvantages: The increased air permeability prevents the skin from infection as well as itching and unpleasantsmell. The cast material is lighter and thinner which improves ventilation and healing. The final cast is approximately 20 times stronger than usual plaster of paris bandages and also waterproof. The stretching material allows a smooth and tight fitting of the cast. Due to its even surface TRO-EASYCAST is both comfortable to wear and kind to clothing.

The orthopaedic padding is manufactured from white, odourless woven cotton fibres or from a mixture of woven cotton fibres and thin non-woven polyethylene fibres. It is soft, light and provided with excellent ventilation features which guarantee maximum comfort during use and excellent padding of the cast in order to prevent the skin from itching and infection.

TRO-DONEX sterile and pyrogenfree blood bags are made of a special PVC material and are available as single, double, triple or quadruple type. They consist respectively of the closed system of collection bag, containing an anticoagulant solution, and the integrated 16 G needle, connected by the flexible donor tubing. The excellent sharpness of the thin-wall needle enables painless puncture and high flow rates. According to the type, one, two or three transfer bags are connected with the blood bag by transfer tubing.

TRO-MICROCISION surgical scalpels consist of a plastic handle to which a blade of carbon steel is securely fixed. The precision blades show durable sharpness also during long incisions. The alu-foil packaging ensures suitable protection and is easy to open because the opening flaps have different lengths. TROMICROCISION surgical scalpels are sterile, pyrogenfree and atoxic. Also available with stainless steel blade.

TRO-MICROCUT surgical blades are made of carbon steel. The precision blades show durable sharpness also during long incisions. The alu-foil packaging ensures suitable protection and is easy to open because the opening flaps have different lengths. Sterile, pyrogenfree and atoxic. Also available in stainless steel.

TRO-MICROGRIP knife handles are made of stainless steel and can be reused. They are supplied unsterile.

TRO-BABY TEST are hCG one-steptest strips for quick and easy detection of pregnancy at an early stage. As the human chorionic gonadop-tropin (hCG) is a glucoprotein hormone produced by the developing placenta shortly after fertilization it can be detected in the urine at anearly stage 7 to 10 days after conception and 1 day after the first missed menses. The sensitivity is 25 mIU/ml. Application is very user-friendly and the results can be read after about 3 minutes.
