Unisur - Model UNIGUT - Plain Catgut Suture

Plain Catgut Suture is a fast-absorbing monofilament natural surgical Gut Suture made by twisting together strand of Collagenous material taken from the submucosal layers of the small intestine of healthy sheep and goat. Fast absorbing surgical gut suture are sterile and elicit only to a minimal tissue reaction during the absorption. In-house needle manufacturing provides the better needles with optimum sharpness which is finally delivers smooth riding on tissue during suturing.

Unisur - Model UNIGUT - Chromic Catgut Suture

Chromic Catgut Suture is a twisted multifilament structure with a monofilament appearance, It is natural surgical gut suture made by twisting together strand of Collagenous material taken from the submucosal layers of the small intestine of healthy sheep and goat. The chromic catgut is processed to provide higher resistance to absorption and treated with chromic salts to delay absorption. Chromic sutures are sterile and elicit only to a minimal tissue reaction during the absorption. Polyglycolic Acid Suture is an absorbable, sterile, synthetic surgical suture and it was the first Synthetic Absorbable Suture introduced in early 1970s. PGA Sutures are braided and coated composed of polymers made from 100% Homo-Polymer of glycolide. PGA sutures are coated with the equal parts of Polycaprolactone and calcium stearate.

Polyglycolic Acid Fast (Uniglyde Fast) is an absorbable, sterile, synthetic surgical suture composed of polymers made from 100% homopolymer of glycolide, are coated with the equal parts of Polycaprolactone and calcium stearate. It is available in Undyed. Uniglyde Fast meets all the requirements as per the United States Pharmacopeia for Synthetic Absorbable Suture.

Polypropylene suture is a monofilament non-absorbable surgical suture composed of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin. It is pigmented in blue colour to enhance the visibility. Unilene sutures have excellent tensile strength. Polypropylene sutures elicit minimal tissue reaction and do not cause tissue rupture. In house needle manufacturing provides better needles with optimum sharpness which finally delivers smooth riding on tissues during suturing.

Unisur - Model UNILON - Monofilament Polyamide Suture

Unilon is a non-absorbable sterile synthetic monofilament surgical suture commonly know as polyamide or Nylon suture. Unilon is composed of long chain aliphatic polymers made from 100% homo polymer of Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. Nylon suture is dyed black or blue to enhance the visibility in tissue. These sutures are infection resistant. Polyamide sutures elicit minimal tissue reaction and do not cause tissue rupture. Unisil black braided silk suture is a non-absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of natural material silk which is obtained from silkworm. Unisil sutures are coloured with FDA approved black dye for enhanced visibility. Unsil sutures are coated with wax/silicon which facilitates the easy passage through the tissue. Unisil silk sutures are braided with special technology to ensure tight braiding, better strength and performance. Polyester Suture is a non-absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate fibers. It is prepared from fibers of high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters having recurrent aromatic rings as an integral component. It is available in green and white color. Polypropylene Mesh is made from high quality monofilament polypropylene sutures, it is non absorbable and provide permanent support. Unisur - 2.5g Sterile Bonewax Mixture (Haemowax)

Haemowax is mixture of beeswax, hard paraffin wax and Isopropyl palmitate. It is opaque and has a waxy odour. It is available in individual foils of 2.5g and sterilized by Gamma radiation. Packet should be open just prior to surgery to minimize the possibility of contamination and excessive drying and should be used immediately.
