304 steel belongs to low carbon Austenitic type stainless steel, has general intergranular corrosion resistance and excellent corrosion resistance and cold working stamping performance. It has strong corrosion resistance to oxidizing acid (such as nitric acid), and has certain corrosion resistance to alkali solution and most organic and inorganic acids. 304L steel is an ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel with superior intergranular corrosion resistance, and the weldments are not prone to knife edge corrosion in the heat affected zone. It has good corrosion resistance in different temperature and concentration of a variety of strong corrosive media (such as nitric acid, most of the organic and inorganic acid aqueous solution, phosphoric acid, alkali, etc.). It has high thermal stability in air below 850?. It also maintains good mechanical properties in low temperature environment. Its cold deformation, deep stamping, cutting, weldability are very good.
