The combination of high wettability and optimal surface chemistry with optimized nano-roughness, mediates bioactivity and specific protein adsorption to the implant (Figure A). These properties regulate cell behavior and influence tissue regeneration by increasing the osteoblast functions, thus building more bone faster.
