FDA consumer health information - new steps aimed at cutting risks from acetaminophen

FDA has taken new steps to cut the risk of severe liver injury associated with use of the pain- and fever- reducing drug acetaminophen.

These steps include asking makers of prescription products that contain acetaminophen to limit how much of it is placed in each tablet or capsule.
