Trenker - Benzadermine Gel
Local Treatment of All Forms of Acne Vulgaris: BENZADERMINE gel, composed of erythromycin (3%) and benzoyl peroxide (5%), is a medicinal product for local treatment of acne vulgaris.
Properties
Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that eliminates propionibacteria in the sebum by bacteriostatic action.
This results in a reduction of the quantity of free fatty acids on the skin`s surface as well as a decrease in chemotactic factors which favour inflammation.
Benzoyl peroxide has keratolitic properties and has an antibacterial activity against propionibacterium acnes due to its oxidising power.
Use
Start the treatment with one application per day, then increase to 2 applications per day, morning and evening.
Warning
Bright sunlight and U.V. lamps are to be avoided during treatment.
The gel must be used within 2 months of its preparation by the pharmacist.
