Symphony - Biomarker Detection Platform
Bluejay Diagnostics is pleased to present Symphony, a near-patient biomarker detection platform. Symphony aims to improve healthcare outcomes by providing quantitative clinical chemistry results, vital for triage and acute care situations. Symphony combines modern advances in interrupted microfluidics, nanotechnology, and enzyme linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) to enable clinical chemistry results faster by bringing testing near patients.

Symphony, a diagnostic detection platform based on intermitted centrifugation and precision microchannel technology, is designed to perform complex clinical laboratory tests with unprecedented simplicity. It excludes the need for additional reagents or blood pre-processing. Only three drops of blood are required to obtain test results in parts per billion (pg/mL) in approximately 24 minutes. As the single-use Symphony Cartridges contain the reagents and process the blood sample, this eliminates the need for costly and time-consuming clean-up as well as maintenance.
At the heart of Symphony are highly specific antibodies that capture only one region (epitope) of the captured biomolecule. This is then used to facilitate a fluorescence enzyme immunoassay (FEIA) for highly sensitive and specific results. The flexibility of the antibody technology enables rapid inclusion of new biomarker detection in the Symphony Cartridge library and improves clinical decision-making.
Symphony is a fraction of the size of current clinical chemistry analyzers; this not just simplifies the infrastructure but also enables testing in locations previously not feasible.
Reagent
All reagents are integrated into the disposable cartridge.
Step-by-step reagent control
Reagents are automatically supplied to the ELISA reaction chamber stepwise at the right time.
Whole blood processing
Blood cells are separated from plasma, and the precise amount of plasma is measured for use in ELISA reaction.
Micro-chamber ELISA reaction
The micro-beads filling chamber ELISA system increases the efficiency of reaction.
Symphony`s design promotes usability by eliminating specialized trainings and infrastructure. Symphony`s compact, and cost-effective design is enabled by the single-use Symphony Cartridges, which includes all reagents and integrates whole blood processing, precision ELISA of specific biomarkers, and waste handling. Simply add a few drops of blood into the Symphony Cartridge, insert the Symphony Cartridge into Symphony Analyzer, and in ~24 minutes interpret the results.
-
Compact, portable, and cost-effective.
-
No additional equipment required.
-
Simultaneously test up to six samples or six biomarkers.
-
Results in ~24 minutes.
-
Quantitative and recording in pg/mL.

Symphony is an automated diagnostic system, consisting of a fluorescence immuno-analyzer which uses a single-use diagnostic test cartridge with reagents integrated in the cartridge. Symphony utilizes a ‘sample-to-result’ format, which means that once a specimen is taken from the patient, it is placed in the cartridge and then the cartridge is placed inside the analyzer where the test is run without further technician intervention or additional reagent. This reduces test complexity and eliminates the need for highly trained and expensive laboratory technicians to run the tests. Our platform is designed to enable simple, rapid, and cost-effective analysis from a single clinical sample, which will allow LTACs, hospitals and clinics that traditionally could not afford more expensive or complex diagnostic testing platforms to modernize their laboratory testing and provide better patient testing at an affordable cost in time sensitive, life threatening situations.
