Biomedical filters are used in microplate readers to selectively filter light based on its wavelength, allowing for specific detection and quantification of biomolecules such as proteins, DNA, and RNA. Microplate readers typically use a variety of filters to detect and quantify the absorbance or fluorescence of different biomolecules. The filters are usually located in the filter wheel of the microplate reader, and can be easily switched out depending on the experiment being performed.
