The BOND:WAVE is an ultrasonic welding system engineered for expedited and efficient fusion of plastic and synthetic fabric components. In ultrasonic welding, the vibrating ultrasonic energy generated by the sonotrode is transmitted to the plastic elements to be welded, generating fusion between the surfaces under pressure due to the frictional heat. The molecular bond between the parts, once solidified, ensures a strong and stable joint over time. Given the high speed of the process (a few tenths of a second), this technology is widely used where volumes are substantial, such as in the automotive sector, in the packaging sector, in the hygiene sector, in medicinal products, in the toy, filter and electrotechnical sector.
Compatibility and technical requirements
The welding system is powered and managed by Unitech Generator TiTAK03 WELD, which can be controlled by a PLC with a multifunction I/O Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP remote connection (with Industry 4.0 standards).
- All ultrasound systems are completely designed using FEM analysis, to achieve maximum power, efficiency, reliability and high-quality welding results;
- Vibrations on the converter housing are eliminated with the innovative “Wave-Stop” suspension;
- Complete remote control and electrical parameter programming of the system are available for setting the welding cycle and automated operations;
- Various types of standard sonotrodes are available; special shapes can be designed upon the customer’s request.
