PhysioMimix - Model MPS 12 - In vitro Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) Services
Our Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disorder (NAFLD)/NASH in vitro Services offer a preclinical tool to test therapeutics in a human-relevant model, replicating key disease phenotypes including fibrosis and reporting clinical biomarkers to allow translatability to clinical trials.
The MPS-T12 plate accommodates standard 24-well plate 0.33 cm2 Transwell® inserts. The plate is suitable for organoids, induced-pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), immortalised and primary cells as well as commercial inserts (such as MucilAir® or EpiSkin®).
The circular flow in each well enables the creation of a more physiologically-relevant barrier with a 3D architecture. This provides novel insights into the effects of flow on organ cultures grown on Transwell® inserts, or simple dual organ crosstalk in the same well.
Simple dual-organ crosstalk studies are achieved by subjecting an organ tissue grown on the Transwell® to continual perfusion in the presence of a second tissue type that is cultured on an insert located at the base of the well.
Along with the PhysioMimix OOC Systems, the MPS-T12 consumable plate can be used for a wide range of applications such as:
- ADME
- Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD)
- Genotoxicity
- Immune interactions
