Gebauer Ethyl Chloride - Instant Topical Anesthetic Spray (Vapocoolant)
Gebauer's Ethyl Chloride® instant topical anesthetic spray (vapocoolant) is FDA cleared to temporarily control the pain associated with injections, starting IV's and venipuncture, minor surgical procedures and minor sports injuries. When topically applied to the skin, Ethyl Chloride creates an instantaneous numbing and cooling effect on the surface of the application site by the immediate evaporation of the product from the skin surface. The cooling sensation produced is directly related to the type of stream and the distance from the point of contact.

Gebauer's Ethyl Chloride® spray is the long-time recognized and preferred instant topical anesthetic for pain control by healthcare practitioners in medical practices including sports medicine, orthopedics and podiatry. Each bottle and can of Gebauer's Ethyl Chloride contains pure Ethyl Chloride (CSH5CI) with no additives. When following labeled instructions, sprayed skin can reach a temperature in the approximate range of -11C - 4C.
