Averinox - Knitted Spacer Fabric
A special structure is called knitted spacer fabric or 3D spacer mesh. This material is produced via a special knitting technique and has specific 3-dimensional properties. Knitted spacer fabric can be used as absorbtion & support material in among others like cushions for matrasses and chairs. It is also used for industrial support applications in filters and as filter medium.
Knitted spacer fabrics are available in different knitting styles and thicknesses (about 3 to 30 mm) Knitted spacer fabrics provide micro-airconditioning features which are ideal voor cushions. Most applied material is polyester ( PES ).
The main properties of knitted spacer fabrics are:
- good distribution of pressure peaks,
- dispersion of air and moisture,
- easy washable and dryable,
- recyclable and non-poisonous.
Knitted spacer fabrics can be processed as bed mattress with suitable hardness, which guarantee each detailed body part can be supported exactly. The spine and muscle can be relaxed naturally; the blood cycling can be unimpeded during resting. These fabrics act like an invisible airconditioning mattress (avoiding swelter from sponge). Due to its special transparent construction, the skin can always feel cool and comfortabely.
