Vital Sutures -Â Model BioMesh Light Plus - Low-Density Polypropylene Mesh
BioMesh Light Plus : surgical mesh constituted by low-density polypropylene monofilaments. Very flexible and easy to handle in comparison to other non-absorbable meshes. BioMesh Light Plus low-density polypropylene mesh is able to maintain a high tensile strength at the tissue level since they are non-absorbable and its structure also benefit the adherence to the tissues. This makes it the surgical mesh most used in the definitive treatment of parietal defects.
BioMesh Light Plus low-density polypropylene mesh is comprised by a net of monofilament fibers with big pores in the middle. This type of mesh has showed a decrease of inflammation and post-surgery chronic pain, as well as a better incorporation in the surrounding tissues. The low-density of this polypropylene mesh decreases the discomfort of the patient and improves the biocompatibility.
BioMesh Light Plus low-density polypropylene mesh is indicated to strengthen the soft tissue that may be weakened. It is commonly used in pelvic organ prolapse (POP), stress incontinence (SI), Cystocele and Rectocele.
