FINDER - Near-Patient Newborn and Pediatric Testing Machine

Life-threatening conditions for newborns require multiple tests and large sample volumes for an accurate diagnosis. FINDER is a near-patient testing platform that operates on 50 microliters of blood. FINDER currently tests for Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) Deficiency. Powered by digital microfluidics, FINDER is specifically designed to address the need for tests requiring low blood volume - with a turnaround time of approximately 15 minutes after sample introduction.
