The ApiFix procedure replaces complexity with simplicity. With three pedicle screws and a familiar posterior approach, the unilateral technique is less invasive than spinal fusion and simpler than other fusionless procedures requiring an anterior approach.
Less invasive
The posterior, unilateral approach of the ApiFix procedure reduces operating time as well as tissue disruption and bony anatomy removal. This may lead to reduced length of hospital stay and overall faster recovery as compared to more invasive surgical treatments.
Preserved motion
The ApiFix system has been engineered and thoroughly tested to stand up to active lifestyles. The novel design, using polyaxial joints and a self-adjusting rod, allows a degree of motion that is not possible with rigid implants.
