CD Screen identifies the presence of IgA antibodies against transglutaminase and gliadin in the human serum. These assays quite are useful in case of paediatric patients under 5 years of age who may have not yet developed anti-tTG antibodies.
If both tests are negative, it might be useful to run Eu-tTG Screen. A positive Eu-tTG Screen result may indicate a Total Serum IgA deficiency.
