Our device captures what is invisible to the naked eye by various light frequencies to detect biomarkers below the surface, revealing skin health.
Improperly treated wounds can progress to catastrophic levels, causing infection and sometimes requiring amputation. In extreme cases, they may lead to death. Catching the wound sooner — in some cases, before it’s even visible — means that treatment can start sooner, severe outcomes can be avoided, and a patient`s tissue health is protected.
The tiny hand-held device can be used by nurses, doctors or other clinicians. MIMOSA collects and collates the data for review by the expert clinician. This allows for greater efficiency and a reduction in work load for the clinician, as well as unlocking easier access to care for patients.
