By applying the rinsing solution, the secretion, biofilm, necrotic tissue and toxins present on the wound surface are mechanically removed. The wound is thus decontaminated, the microbial population is reduced, which shortens the healing time. Wound rinsing promotes blood circulation to the wound bed and subsequent granulation and epithelialization.
Innovative variability of use - the product can be connected using a Luer Lock adapter with a needle to reduce the flow or it can be connected to a threaded syringe, which can be easily filled with solution.
You will find an illustrative example of application variants of how to use Neocide solution for rinsing wounds in this instructional video.
Rinses of acute wounds. Squeezing the container creates a stream of rinsing solution which is directed to the desired location. The fluid stream washes away the impurities in the wound mechanically until the treatment site is cleaned.
Treatment of chronic wounds. The removal of the biofilm (so-called debridement) is performed by compressing the container so as to create a stream of rinsing solution, which is directed to the desired location. The fluid stream washes away the impurities mechanically until the treatment site is cleaned. In these cases, patients are often sensitive to temperature, the solution can be warmed to body temperature. Long-term use of the product should be under medical supervision.
When applied to cavities in the wound, it is always necessary to ensure the outflow of the solution by means of drainage or other suitable means.
Cleaning around the wound. Cleaning the area around the wound is important to minimize the risk of contamination of the wound from its surroundings. The stream of solution is directed so that the area around the wound is thoroughly cleaned. At the same time, care must be taken to ensure that the solution drains from the wound area outside the wound area.
Moisturizing dry wound dressings. In the case of dry wound dressings, it is recommended to moisten the dressing material with a wound rinsing solution so that by wetting the dried exudates they loosen and so that the dressings can be removed gently and without traumatizing the wound surfaces.
Moisturizing wounds. It is performed by applying the solution once or repeatedly to the desired location. If appropriate, it is possible to impregnate the appropriate covering material with the solution and thus moisten the desired area.
