Supporting students during their time at UWE Student Services offer a range of professional services to support students throughout their time with us and offer an array of opportunities to enrich the student experience.

We have Information Points across UWE campuses with dedicated information staff to provide advice and information to students about all our support services. Information Points can be found at Frenchay, Bower Ashton, and Glenside campuses.

Our team of Student Advisers provide students with advice on a wide range of course and programme related matters from assessments and academic appeals, to award certificates and changing modules.

Our Finance and Immigration Advisers provide help with tuition fees, funding and scholarships, managing money, visa advice for international students, and other financial issues students may have.

The Disability Service offers advice and services to students with an impairment, medical condition or specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia, who may have additional support needs to access their course.

Comprehensive support is offered to help students with mental health and personal development needs, including counselling, wellbeing support, and mentoring.

UWE provides expert careers services for UWE students, graduates, staff and recruiters, and supports students and graduates with a variety of services to help with their career planning from career choice to CV checks, support with job applications, finding high quality work experience and graduate opportunities.

Our placement team supports students who are required, or have the option, to take a work placement as part of their degree.

UWE Volunteering helps students and staff to gain skills and engage with the wider community through a wide range of volunteering opportunities, from action days to working with local charities, and advice on setting up your own project.

The Global Student Support service works with international students throughout their student journey, and helps them settle in to life at UWE. We also work to promote understanding of different cultures, and provide an international educational experience for all UWE students.

The Octagon provides facilities for prayer and worship for students and staff of all faiths. We also provide a variety of events and activities for students to practise and explore their faith, advice on spiritual and ethical concerns, and provide information about faith groups at UWE and in the local community.
