1071rpm 9Nm Torque Dynamometer - Proof of Concept for Aerospace Part Fatigue Testing - Video

This is the very first run of a prototype dynamometer to create a torque of 9Nm across a flanged heat exchanger using a 2.2kw 240v 1 to 3 phase vector drive inverter, a 2.2kw induction motor and a brushless 8kw AC 3 phase stamford type generator. The machine includes a web based datalogger with backup to SD card and will run for 3000hrs continuously so all parts have been de-rated accordingly.
