Coag-Sense Cap Tube w/Plunger Instructions for use 1. Insert Plunger • Insert black plastic plunger into end of glass tube with red stripe, use care to avoid hitting white plug. 2. Lancing the finger • Do not lance finger until meter display reads “Apply Sample” • Use 21 gauge lancet • Gently squeeze finger to produce a bead of blood • Transfer sample within 15 seconds 3. Collecting the sample • Approach bead of blood with tube horizontal • Touch tip to bead of blood and let capillary action fill until it stops at White plug • Avoid air bubbles 4. Transferring the sample • Meter display must read “Apply Sample” before applying sample • Touch tip of tube down onto test strip sample application well (Green light). • Gently depress plunger until blood exits tube.
