Door Sensor on Ferromagnetic Detectors for MRI Safety - Video

An FMD is basically useless if it’s constantly alarming. When the MRI technologists hear unnecessary/nuisance alarms all day every day, they start to ignore them, and this can lead to missing/ignoring the ONE alarm that really matters in preventing a ferromagnetic projectile accident. We at Kopp Development Inc. have been working hard since 2002 to cut down on those unnecessary alarms and to reduce the acoustic contamination produced by alarms in the MRI departments worldwide through constantly adding hardware and modifying firmware. Here is an example of one of our features to achieve the above mentioned, THE “D-SENSOR” This is a star of a series of short videos demonstrating all the features of our FMDs, both the ones that we had from the get-go, and the new ones that we just incorporated to make the MRI experience safer for everyone.
