At 410 Medical our mission is to help save the lives of critically ill patients by developing innovative tools that assist healthcare providers in improving resuscitation. 410 Medical takes its name from the calculation of fluid delivery goals in pediatric septic shock. The ACCM/PALS guidelines call for 20ml/kg of fluid in the first 5 minutes, 40ml/kg in 10 minutes, and 60ml/kg with in the first 15 minutes. 40ml/kg is an early practical goal in critically ill children, but is difficult to achieve in clinical practice. LifeFlow was designed to help providers meet this goal in every patient (4 x 10ml/kg boluses over 10 minutes = 410). Our time and energy are focused using our collective skills and abilities to educate providers and policy makers on the importance of volume resuscitation and ensure that clinicians have the best tools for providing timely and effective care.
