BIF

Established in 1853 as Builder’s Iron Foundry, BIF has been developing and manufacturing flow measurement and control products for many market segments since 1893. Venturi flow meters have been one of BIF’s most important products. A continuing dedication to developing and upgrading the venturi flow meter led to BIF’s research and development of the Universal Venturi Tube in the early 1970’s. Today, BIF specializes in the design and supply of venturi meters, rate-of-flow controllers and specialized venturi configurations. Other products produced by BIF during that period included cylinders for bridge piers and prefabricated lighthouses, which were installed around the world.
