For many people a bimodal hearing solution, with a hearing aid on one ear and a cochlear implant on the other, is the solution that provides them with their best hearing. When compared to using a hearing aid or cochlear implant alone, users of bimodal hearing report a more natural hearing experience2, improved speech understanding in quiet and noise3-6, improved perception of music7, and better functioning in real-life environments3. In a large study, users of bimodal hearing also reported much higher satisfaction with their hearing performance compared with when they previously used two hearing aids8. Our cochlear implant systems work with any hearing aid to deliver bimodal hearing, so if you are happy with your current hearing aid there is no need to change.

The power levels have been increased to provide access to a broad and dynamic range of sounds that are linked with the improved ability to hear in noisy environments.2 And we added a new chip that lets you stream directly from both Android™ and Apple devices. The Baha 6 Max Sound Processor is available in six different colours, so you can choose the one that best suits you.

There are two connection options for the Baha System: Baha® Connect and Baha® Attract. The Baha Connect System is an easy-to-use and effective1, 2 hearing solution designed to improve your hearing. It uses a small abutment behind the ear that connects the sound processor directly to the implant to maximise the sound that gets through to your inner ear. You simply snap your sound processor onto the abutment and can get on with doing the activities you enjoy. The Baha Attract System is a comfortable and easy-to-use3 hearing solution that uses magnets to hold the sound processor over the implant. The sound processor then sends sound through to your inner ear. You simply place your sound processor (with sound processor magnet) over the implant and then you can get on with your day while experiencing the sound around you. Baha Start allows your child to experience hearing through bone conduction without the need for surgery. It`s a bone conduction solution for children with conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss and single-sided sensorineural deafness (SSD). Baha Start consists of one or two sound processors worn on either Baha Softband or SoundArc™. The sound processor captures sound in the air and converts the sound into vibrations which are carried through the bone to the inner ear. The Baha Softband and SoundArc are lightweight and easy to wear with a secure and comfortable fit. They are available in several sizes and different colours, so your child can choose the one that suits them the best.

Baha Start lets you experience the benefits of bone conduction hearing before deciding on an implantable system. With Baha Start, you can experience what it`s like to hear through bone conduction before deciding on surgery. First, you`ll meet with a hearing health professional and do a hearing test. If you`re eligible for a bone conduction solution, Baha Start will help you experience the benefits of an implant. Baha Start consists of one or two sound processors attached to a Baha Softband or SoundArc™. With Baha Start, you can try hearing with the sound processor before getting an implant, either with your hearing health professional or for a trial period at home.
