Lentikats Biotechnology finds its applications within pharmaceutical and food industry during the intensification of enzyme- or bacteria-driven biotechnological processes. The immobilisation of such catalytic biomass leads to a production of robust biocatalysts, characterised by a high reaction activity, mechanical stability and easy separability from the reaction media. Mild conditions during the production procedure allow the immobilisation of any enzyme or bacteria, while allowing maintenance of the high initial reactivity of the biomass.
