OptiEng was officially registered on April 1, 2007 with Carlos Gomes da Costa and João Lobato as founding partners: Carlos Gomes da Costa who worked for 3 decades in the industrial area in the Pulp & Paper Industry, Portucel Cacia and João Lobato who during the last 30 years has been actively involved in automation and control projects in Thermoelectric Power Plants in South Africa and in the industry of Celulose in Portugal. During 8 years the company management was conducted by the two founding partners, till end of 2015, when Eng. Gomes da Costa, left the company due to retirement. From this date on, the company management was assured by Eng. João Lobato who thus assumes the management of the whole organization.
