Owlstone Medical developed ReCIVA together with a multi-disciplinary group of leaders in breath research. Our goal was to enable reliable, reproducible and non-invasive breath sample collection that allows consistent sampling across different clinical setting and research applications. A laptop and Breath Biopsy Collect software are also provided to calibrate and monitor ReCIVA during sample collection.

Breath Biopsy Kits contain all the consumable components you will need to collect breath samples using Breath Biopsy. Each Kit includes a Breath Biopsy Mouthpiece and Breath Biopsy Cartridge, which together fit into the ReCIVA Breath Sampler.

Owlstone Medical has embarked on an exciting project to better understand the diversity of molecules in a given breath sample. The Breath Biopsy® VOC Atlas, a catalogue of identified and quantified volatile organic compounds (VOCs) found on breath, provides insight and scientific context to these molecules with the goal of enabling confident selection of candidate biomarkers for disease.

Owlstone Medical’s patented FAIMS technology can be applied to rapidly monitor a broad range of volatile compounds from breath, urine and other bodily fluids with high sensitivity and selectivity.
