Latex Turbidimetry
FOB-Turbilatex is a quantitative turbidimetric test for the measurement of human hemoglobin in human feces. Latex particles coated with specific anti- human hemoglobin antibody are agglutinated when mixed with samples containing hemoglobin or hemoglobin/haptoglobin complexes. The agglutination causes an absorbance change, dependent upon the hemoglobin contents of the sample that can be quantified by comparison from a calibrator of known hemoglobin concentration.
