Tehnolab was established as a private company In fact, Tehnolab is a successor of the Department for Environmental Protection Laboratory, which was part of the former Mining Institute dating from 1981. Under the process of privatization, this Department was transformed into private company. The main activities of Tehnolab include preparation of Air emission inventories, EIA studies, SEA (Sectoral Environmental Assessment-s), IPPC applications, research, project development, engineering design, monitoring measurements in the media of environment, laboratory analyses, training and other local and international consulting services in the areas of environment and health and occupational safety. In 2005, Tehnolab obtained a certificate for quality management system ISO 9001:2000 for the following fields of activity: monitoring, analysis, projecting and consulting in environment and health and safety at work, and in 2008 obtained certificate for ISO 17025-laboratory accreditation.
