SHARE
Testing for radon is common in private and commercial real estate transactions. Many states require registration and/or certification for testing. HydroTech maintains all certifications and meets all state and federal regulations. Radon is the off-gas of decaying uranium deposits and is commonly found throughout the continental United States. Radon migrates up from the ground and tends to collect inside structures. The radon gas can neither be seen nor smelled. Radon is one of the country"s leading causes of lung cancer, second only to cigarette smoking. In some areas of the country, as many as one out of every two homes has higher than acceptable radon levels. Radon levels can soar during the colder months when residents keep windows and doors closed, and spend more time indoors.
