Laurane OmniBone - Coaxial Bone Biopsy Kit
The OmniBone™ bone biopsy kit with Power Driver is available in 11 Gauge and three lengths (6.5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm).
Power Driven: The OmniBone™ Bone Biopsy Kit is used with the OmniBone™ rechargeable Power Driver and is intended for bone biopsy procedures. It is fully power-driven. The non-sterile Power Driver is placed into a sterile pouch and assembled to a coupler. The bone access introducer and the trephine bone biopsy are then connected to the Power Driver assembly.
Coaxial: the OmniBone™ biopsy kit is a coaxial system. It includes a bone access introducer and a trephine biopsy needle. After removing the stylet from the introducer, the trephine biopsy needle is placed into the bone access cannula. This coaxial feature allows the physician to perform multiple biopsies using the same access path, therefore, increasing the biopsy success rate.
Perforating Efficiency: The introducer combines an outer cutting cannula with two cutting edges and a slotted V-shape drill-tip stylet. Its patented design allows a dual action of both elements. Hard bone is bored with little effort while evacuating bone debris. Compared to other bone needles including power-driven needles, this aggressive introducer offers much better perforating performance in terms of depth and drill time. The efficiency of the cutting also significantly reduces the heat friction* of the needle into the bone.
Precision: All cannulas have centimetric breakers and an easy-to-use depth marker allowing the physician to perform a precise and safe procedure.
High-quality sampling: The biopsy needle is a trephine-tip needle with sharp machined teeth. This design differs from the crown/punch type needle and allows to properly cut a piece of bone, resulting in a high-quality sampling.
Aspiration may also be performed by connecting a syringe to the Luer connector of the biopsy cannula.
- A needle tray with a sharp tip cannula and a slotted V-shape drill tip stylet, a biopsy trephine needle, an ejector pin, a handle, and a guide ejector.
