COSMED - Model K5 -Wearable Metabolic System
The K5 is the 4th generation of the most popular wearable metabolic system, a breakthrough in exercise physiology and human performance assessment. It is the most innovative and versatile metabolic system ever created by COSMED, thanks to more than 25 years of experience with metabolic devices. The K5 features a list of new and unique features which expand the scope of metabolic testing from clinical exercise testing to performance assessment.
Dual gas sampling technology
IntelliMET™ provides a dual gas sampling system: micro-dynamic mixing chamber and breath-by-breath. Users can select the modality depending on protocol, research field or other factors.
Wireless connectivity
The K5 offers efficient wireless data transmission (both standard and long-range Bluetooth) and seamless integration with other devices (i.e., wireless wrist-worn pulse oximeter).
Rugged design
The device is designed according to IP54 standard. All plugs, connectors and caps are sealed and are water, moisture and dust resistant.
Intuitive user interface
K5 display allows easy navigation and quick access to all features. Taskbar provides information regarding time, date, battery status, Bluetooth, GPS and notification icons.
ANT+ certified
The K5 can be integrated with the world’s largest network of sport sensors (up to 5 profiles available and over 440+ compatible products). Up to 8 wireless devices can be simultaneously connected to the K5.
Omnia Software
The K5 includes OMNIA, the modular software suite from COSMED with an innovative user interface. OMNIA`s intuitive workflow allows users to operate devices without the need for a long adaptation period.
